A festival that lights up the summer in Japan, Tokyo Koenji Awa-Odori. We have prepared a special viewing tour that includes premium seats to experience the excitement in a unique space.
This special viewing tour, also known as the “Supporter Tour” , aims to preserve the culture by returning profits to the performers.

Event Dates: Saturday, August 24, 2024, and Sunday, August 25, 2024.
Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Reception starts at 3:30 PM)
Venue: Central Stage, Tokyo Koenji Awa-Odori

Learn, Understand, and experience the excitement beyond

First, you will learn about the history of the Tokyo Koenji Awa-Odori. Next, you will learn the dance from members of the “Ren” (groups) participating in the Awa-Odori. Additionally, you will immerse yourself in the festival by wearing an original “Happi” coat and headband, which you can take home as souvenirs.

A Unique Experience

Normally, you cannot enter the central stage of the Tokyo Koenji Awa-Odori, but this time you will have the opportunity to dance on the central stage. This special experience allows you to feel like you are part of the festival.

Experience the Power of the Festival Up Close

You can watch the “Ren” (groups) dancing right in front of you. In a relaxed space, you can feel the vibrations of the instruments up close.

Exquisite Meals

We have prepared meals supervised by renowned restaurants in local Koenji, using specialties from Tokushima, the birthplace of Awa-Odori. We also offered all-you-can-drink services with alcoholic and soft drinks.

Food and Drinks:

At the viewing seats, we offer special snack sets supervised by renowned restaurants in local Koenji.
Drinks are all-you-can-drink (alcoholic and soft drinks). Please let us know if you have any food allergies.

Other:

  • Please come in comfortable clothes.
  • We recommend bringing a pochette or a similar small bag to keep your belongings with you at all times.

In 1957, with the aim of revitalizing the streets of Koenji, the Tokyo Koenji Awa-Odori was started, utilizing
the traditional performing art of Awa-Odori, which originated in Tokushima Prefecture.
This year marks the 65th edition of the festival, where 80 groups (known as \”ren\”) from local areas and
other regions will showcase their proudly practiced dances.
Enjoy a summer day immersed in the passionate performances and the cheers of the audience.

  • Seat reservations are not possible.
  • This ticket does not reduce waiting times.
  • Preschool children are free, but please make sure they are held on your lap.
  • We do not allow pets to enter the venue (except for guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs).
  • Photography is permitted, but the use of tripods is prohibited.
  • Performance times may change depending on the weather.
  • In the event of bad weather, the performance may be canceled. In that case, we will not be able to refund or compensate for travel expenses to the venue.
  • Please keep your valuables with you at all times, such as by putting them in a pouch or carrying them with you.
  • Participation in this tour may be photographed, filmed, etc. In addition, the photographs and videos recorded may be posted on websites and official SNS accounts as part of the promotion of Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori and “Omatsuri Japan.” Please note in advance.
